Dr. Banumathy Srikant is a Full-time Physician cum Chief Medical Officer in the IIT Bombay Hospital since 2013. She commands good experience in the management of Diabetes, Hypertension, Endocrine diseases, Infectious diseases and Tuberculosis, to name a few. She handles a daily OPD of about 50 patients and offers expert advice on an equal number of patients in emergencies. She is proficient in 6 languages which adds to her effective communication and personal rapport with patients. She also counsels students on basic life style measures along with early identification of risk factors inturn enhancing their quality of life. In addition to clinical responsibilities, she also handles administrative work and has been acting incharge several times.
